Buprenorphine Training

APA online course training in the use of buprenorphine for office based treatment of opiate dependent patients will be discontinued starting June 2.

The APA is an approved provider of physician training in the use of buprenorphine for office-based treatment of opiate dependent patients. This program is authorized by the Drug Addiction Treatment Act (DATA) of 2000 and meets the CSAT training requirement for physicians to qualify for the waiver authority from the requirements of the Controlled Substances Act.
Training is provided through courses held regionally and through and our online course. Physicians completing an 8-hour training course will be eligible to request a waiver to practice medication-assisted addiction therapy with Buprenorphine for the treatment of opioid dependence.
