General Meeting Information

In addition to registering for the APA Annual Meeting or making housing reservations, there is a wealth of information available to assist you in planning for the 2010 APA Annual Meeting in New Orleans, LA, May 22-26, 2010.

Changed Meeting Dates
The APA meeting dates have changed.  The meeting dates are from Saturday, May 22- Wednesday, May 26. The meeting will no longer end on Thursday so plan accordingly when making travel plans.  

Less Printing/No Meeting Bags
In the effort to be environmentally conscious and save you money, we have some exciting new changes for you: 

*   No more sore shoulders! The Syllabus will be distributed on CD. 
    Only the Program/Exhibits book will be printed and distributed.  
*   No more worries about fitting another bag in your carryon! 
    Conference bags will no longer be distributed. You are 
    encouraged to bring an old conference bag to hold your materials.

Each year many questions are asked about the Annual Meeting. This fact sheet has been prepared to answer the most commonly asked questions and to provide basic information about the APA meeting.

Literature Table Policy
The APA will designate a "literature display area" at the Convention Center where materials from related psychiatric organizations or APA members hosting meetings during the Annual Meeting will be placed on the literature tables without charge provided that the materials have been approved in advance.  If you are interested in taking advantage of this service, please complete the Literature Table Contract.
